Delighting in God
A.W. Tozer, Bethany House, Minneapolis MN
This is pure Tozer. This is a posthumous follow up of
Tozer’s classic work on God: The Knowledge of God. It is compiled sermons by
Tozer and is devotional in outlook. It is a good read, and speaks to the heart.
It contends that our perception of God must be right to delight in God. Our
perception of God will affect our walk, relationship, and our conduct. It is
rather strength forward truth about how we are to perceive God and what it
means. It also points to serious problems within the church. I enjoyed what he
identified as passion of the heart and of the mind. We certainly must go beyond
the intellectual, and even the theological, to the passion of personal
fellowship with our Lord.
The weakness of the book is its lack of theological content.
But overall, it is worth every one to read it and ponder its content for
personal edification, worship and growth. No wonder it one of the top books for
2015.
This book was provided to me in exchange for the review by
Bethany House Publishing. I thank them for the opportunity.
